Adventures in Yupo with Kathy Daywalt

We welcome Maryland native as our February guest artist Kathy Daywalt, in Watercolor Adventures on Yupo.
Kathy’s style is one that embraces her love for block print and line as well as color …she is a design diva.
She will be sharing her process with us as we learn how to master watercolor in layers along with texture prints.

YUPO is a challenging medium that can be full of wonderful surprises. In this workshop, students will learn to control watercolor on this non-absorbent surface. Discover how to bring beautiful pattern and texture to your compositions using stamps and found objects.
You will be using a variety of brushes , rollers, and stamps to create your piece.
Methods of stamp making will be part of the instruction.
You will create a diptych ( two pieces) during this class. You decide if you want them to be seen as one, or create each independently.

All materials and instruction are included for this  3 hr workshop.

You will also need to provide your own mask as we comply with the health and state safety current laws.
