I don’t have any artistic talent. Are there classes for me?
All classes are designed for hands-on learning according to any skill level. Not only because of the intimate class size, but also because you’re in good hands with an experienced artist.
What is included in the price of a class?
All art materials are supplied for on and off-site events, along with instruction to complete selected art class. Pop Art and Painted Pet attendees must upload a pic after registration.
What time do I need to arrive for class?
Please arrive on time for classes. No need to come early – we will be ready for you!
Is there reserved seating for off-site classes?
If you’re coming to an off-site class in a group, please notify us by email art@rayeolfightstudio.com. We try our best to accommodate, but can’t always guarantee it.
How many artists can you teach at a time in-studio?
The studio class maximum 6-8 people. Over 10 people would be considered a team building off site event/ party.
Can I bring food & drinks to class?
You may bring food or drink to the studio, but we do not provide refrigeration. Off-site classes at breweries, vineyards and restaurants provide their own options and do not allow outside food & drinks.
How long is a class?
Class typically lasts 2.5 to 3 hours. Off-site and in-home classes run closer to 3 hours. (Excluding setup and clean-up.)
What should I wear to a class?
We suggest wearing comfortable clothes. We provide aprons for in-studio and in-home parties. We do not provide aprons for off-site workshops with 12 or more participants. Please make sure that you can pull up your sleeves, as you may be working with acrylic paints or inks that will stain.
What kind of photo do you need and how do I send it?
Most photos taken with a cell phone work, as long as they are in jpg format. Make sure they are in focus and well-lit. You want your subject as still as possible and looking at you, ideally. It is not necessary to send more than one photo. You can email or text, but we prefer you upload it directly after purchasing your class. Please do not use copyrighted material. *We need all photos 3 days before the class date.
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
All sales are final. Check individual classes for deadlines. If you cancel due to illness, you can reschedule. If an off-site event is canceled, you may come into the studio and set up a time to create. If Raye of Light Studio cancels, we will be happy to give you a refund.
What is your photo policy?
Photos taken during class may be used for our marketing purposes. If you’re creating a “surprise” for someone, just let us know and we will hold off on using them.
